Free Ancestry.com, MyHeritage and FindMyPast for LDS members!!!

Soon LDS members will have free access to the 3 large paid genealogy subscription sites FREE!

This article, from the Deseret News, details how soon, as part of the deals between FamilySearch and Ancestry.com, FindMyPast.com and MyHeritage.com, LDS members will be granted free subscriptions to Ancestry.com (World Edition), MyHeritage.com (plus subscription), Findapast.com (plus subscription).

These LDS member free subscriptions will be accessible from anywhere (not just from the Family History Centers). They will be rolling the access out gradually over the upcoming months.

I'm jealous, really jealous. I'm not LDS, so I will have to continue to pay for my subscriptions. But, if it means more people doing genealogy I'm all for it. I do understand that there are some people who might do genealogy if they had access to all those sites free, that "need their money for other things" than genealogy subscriptions. I do find all the sites to be a good value for the subscription price, but I do an insane amount of genealogy.

For the non-LDS members, free access will be given at LDS family history centers worldwide to Ancestry.com, FindMyPast.com and MyHeritage.com.

I wonder if at some time in the future a "Qualified Account" will get the ability to view records or some records for free at Ancestry.com/FindMyPast.com/MyHeriage.com
