Oswald Bernard Peverelle born 1899

Oswald Bernard Peverelle was born 31 May 1899 in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada.

Oswald Bernard Peverelle was the son of Lewis Henry Peverelle and Julia Ann Doyle.

Oswald is shown living with his parents in the 1901 census, but oddly is missing from the household in the 1911 census.

Oswald Bernard Peverelle served with the C.E.F. in WWI.  He enlisted in 1915 and claimed to have prior military service.  It appears he fibbed a bit and made himself 2 years older.  He was in fact just shy of 16 years old in Feb of 1915.

Why his mother is listed as Mrs. Julia Carney is beyond me! I've seen no indication she remarried and 1916 is before the death of her husband Lewis Peverelle in 1931.

The Welland Canal Force which seems to have him listed as Oswald E Peverelle:

He appears living as 263 Davy Street in St. Catharines in 1963.
