Update on FDA/23andMe

23andMe has stated that they will comply with the FDA's directive, (if you somehow missed all the drama you can read about it here) and stop giving medical info until they receive FDA clearance.

Everything else remains the same, we can still order kits, and still access our raw data, so in genealogy land all is well.

You can read the offical blog post at 23andMe here: http://blog.23andme.com/news/23andme-provides-an-update-regarding-fdas-review/

Maybe things will get back on track now, and they will promote the genealogy aspect of the test for holiday sales?

Maybe they will remove the cap of 1000 matches as a show of goodwill towards their loyal customers?
