Genealogy Gift Ideas

If you still haven't found the right gift for the genealogist in your life I'd like to make a few suggestions.  No doubt you have no clue what documents he/she needs ordered, and have no clue how to solve that elusive ancestor's parentage, but you can still give a gift that will be appreciated.  Some of these gift ideas can be done last minute!  I already have these so its not a personal wishlist!

#1
23andMe or FTDNA DNA kit

I have gotten many kits as gifts, and continue to appreciate the gifts all year as I get new matches :)

#2
Ancestry.com gift subscripton

I use Ancestry.com every day.  Seriously.  Every day.  I can't imagine genealogy without Ancestry.com.

#3
Fold3 subscripton

Especially good for those who like the military side of genealogy research.
#4
Newspapers.com subscription

The stories that can be found in newspapers are amazing!

#5
Your Time

You can make or print a certificate gifting your time, for babysitting, driving to cemeteries and archives or doing the dishes or anything at all that will give her/him more time to do genealogy!

If you are a genealogist reading this, what are you hoping to get for Christmas this year?
