John Bernardo Peverelle and Eugenio Peverelle Drowned 1897

One of the uncommon surnames that I research is Peverelle.  I often use this name to test the waters at new or new-to-me genealogy search sites.  The other day I searched at Mocavo.com for Peverelle, and following a lead there found this article:

Teesdale Mercury, Wednesday, Sep 15, 1897
The article reads:

 "TWO BROTHERS DROWNED

A verdict of accidental death was returned at an inquest on Saturday respecting the fatal drowning accident to John Bernardo Peverelle, age 24, and Eugenio, 18, two brothers from Birmingham.  They hired a machine on the beach and although there was a heavy swell on they proceeded to swim.  They were soon seen in difficulties, but before help could be rendered they sank, notwithstanding a plucky attempt at rescue by a Mr Tyne."

John Bernardo Peverelle and Eugenio Peverelle were the sons of Francis Joseph Peverelle and Catherine Ann Jennings.

John Bernardo Peverelle was born in 1873 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.

Eugenie Maurizzis Peverelle was born in 1878 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.

Both were living with their parents in the 1881 and 1891 England Census.
