His daughter, Floride Martin, was buried in St-Alexis-de-Matapedia in 1871.

His son, Laurent Martin, married Sophie Pitre in 1873 at St-Alexis-de-Matapedia.

Edesse Martin, his 14 year old daughter, died and was buried at St-Alexis-de-Matapedia in 1875 so they were likely still in the area at that time.

At the time of the 1881 census, however, they are listed in Addington, Restigouche, New Brunswick, Canada.

At the time of the 1891 and 1901 census, they are living in Hardwicke, Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada.
