William Dinsmore Haskill

William Dinsmore Haskill was the son of Nathaniel Haskill and Abigail Sawyer.

William was born in Lancaster, Massachusetts in 1778.

William married Sybil Culver about 1806, likely in Ontario, Canada.

The following records were generously sent to me by a cousin.







"ASSIGNMENTS: 
JOHN HASKILL AND OTHERS TO ALEXANDER MORROW
DATED 21ST DAY OF NOVEMBER 1847 
Know all men by these present that we, John Haskell, William Haskell, Wallace Haskell and David Haskell, all of the township of Hope in the District of Newcastle and Province of Canada, yeomen, Legatees under the last Will and Testament of William Densimore Haskell, late of same Township, yeoman, deceased, and Daniel Haskell of the State of Ohio, one of the United States of America, yeoman, also a legatee under the said last will and Testament, for and in consideration of the sum of twelve pounds and ten shillings of lawful money of said Province, to us in hand respectively paid by Alexander Morrow of the said Township of Hope, Esquire, and Rocksy Haskell of said Township, spinster, also a legatee under said last will and Testament, for and in consideration of the sum of three pounds of like lawful money to her in hand paid by the said Alexander Morrow,Emily Hasjkell, of said Township, Spinster,, for and in consideration of the sum of six pounds of lawful money, to her also in hand paid by the said Alexander Morrow, Anne Fryer, of said Township, wife of Jonas Fryer of said Township, yeoman, which said Anne is also a legatee under said last will and Testament, and the said Jonas Fryer, for and in consideration of the sum of one pound of like lawful money, to them also in hand paid by the said Alexander Morrow, Wealthy...wife of....of the Township of Dummer in the Colborne District in said Province, yeoman, which said Wealthy is also a legatee under said last will and Testament, and said....her said husband, for and in consideration of the sum of one pound of like lawful money to them also in hand well and truly paid by the said Alexander Morrow, the receipt of which said parties do hereby respectively acknowledge have, and each of us hath sold, assigned, set over and quitted claim, and by these presents do and each of us doth sell, assign, set over and quit claim unto the said Alexander Morrow, his heirs, executors & administrators and assigns, all our respective right, title interest, trust, propery, claim, and demand whatsoever, both at law and in Equity of in, under and out of said last will and Testament, either directly or indirectly- excepting the claim which the said John Haskill contends he has to a certain colt, under saids last will and testament, and which the said Alexander Morrow declined paying for- to have and to hold, to the said Alexander Morrow, his Heirs, Executors & Administrators, and Assigns for ever.
In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our respective hands and seals this 21st day of November in the year of Our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty seven.
